1-What is standard drapery finish length?
Most standard draperies vary from 84" long, however we recommend that you use draperies that are 90" long on ceiling that is 8 feet high. The reason for this is to avoid having light come thru the top the window
2- How many panels it take to cover a standard window ?
This number depends on the fullness of your drapes as a standard fullness being 2.5 times, usually for a 45" window wide 2 panels are required to cover the windows
3-Does all your Crystal drapery hardware has to be ordered?
No, you may take advantage of our stock program that consist of several items in different colors. Please visit Stock Hardware Program
4-Do you have crystal drapery hardware in stock?
Yes we stock 4 different types of Hold-Backs, Crowns, Scrolls, Combos available in stock You may visit our Stock Hardware Program
5-Does your drapes come with lining or backing
All of our custom drapes are made with fine quality lining to extend the life of your drapes as well as enhance the way they drape
6- What are the types of the drapery fabrics you carry
Our fabric selection is consist luxurious chromatic silks, Natural Linens, cottons and polyesters.
7- What is good fabric for draperies?
This depends on the type of use, most common draw drapes are made of polyester fabrics, however for stationery or side panels silk or natural fabrics are recommended.
8-Do you sew Curtains or drapes if I bring you my own fabrics?
Yes we have a full drapery and upholstery workroom and can cater to almost all types of drapery needs.
9- How long does it take to make custom drapes?
Custom Drapes usually may take up to 6 weeks from the time all orders have been confirmed, this time depends on the type of the order.
10-Do you carry Ready Made Drapery Panels?
We have a limited selection of fine silk drapes that are lined and interlined
11-What is the projection for the scroll:
Our scrolls usually have 3 ½” Projection with an extension screw which allows them to extend to 51 /2” long. We recommend these projection if you are only using 1 layer of window treatments, if you are planing of using more than one layer window treatments, we recommend that you would order the 5 ½” projection which can extend out to 9” projection.
12-What is the projection of the hold backs.
Our Holdbacks usually have 3 ½” Projection with an extension screw which allows them to extend to 51 /2” long. We recommend these projection if you are only using 1 layer of window treatments, if you are planing of using more than one layer window treatments, we recommend that you would order the 5 ½” projection which can extend out to 9” projection.
13-What angle do i install the scroll in?
We recommend a 12” angle for our french scroll and 16” angel for our large venetian scrolls. This means that you first and 2nd mounting brackets are apart in this distance.
14-What are the diameters of the Iron rods?
Our iron rods are available in 1 ¼” and 1” round.
15-What lengths does the iron rods are available?
Our iron rods are available in any custom size, however if we are shipping we can not ship more than 9’ long which means that you may need to put a splice in the middle to meet your needs.
16-What size scrolls should i use?
We recommend our french scrolls for all windows up to 10 feet high and our Large venetian scrolls are recommended for window heights up to 20 feet.
17-How Many wires comes with your scrolls?
All of our scrolls come with only one wire, however our French shell 5 piece combos and our 3 piece combos come with 2 wires for valance and side panels. If you are interested in more wires, you may order them on their own for a small fee.
18-How do i dress my corner window using your scrolls?

19-Is there an up-charge for other colors?

How does international shipping work?
We ship around the world and request that you go ahead and place your order and we will use this information to secure the most current and favorable shipping rates from our carriers. Shipping charges include all estimated duties, customs, fees, taxes etc. at the time of the quote, however additional duties and value added taxes (VAT) may be assessed by your country customs office. Any additional fees or duties levied are at the sole discretion of your local customs agent and Galaxy-Design is not responsible for them. Please check with your local customs office to confirm any additional taxes or fees that may be assessed.
Contract / Agreement
Galaxy Design is committed to providing an excellent Interior Design Service for its clients. All fabrication and installation work is performed by licensed professional firms, professional independent contractors or employees of Galaxy Design (hereafter called the “Company”). Clients should be aware that the cost of each project is made up of four parts. The Design Fee – this covers Consultation, Design, the Designer’s expertise plus a certain number of allocated Designer’s hours. This fee may be depreciated against the total costs at the completion of the project. The Fabrics, Materials and/or Decorative Goods. Fabrication, Installation and Other Services (such as Electricians, Painters etc.). Extra Hours – these will be charged if the project is extended for some reason (e.g. the client requests a change in the design after the project has started). Note: Should the client choose to use his/her own sub-contractors then the Design Fee will not be depreciated and a Project Management fee will be charged, at an hourly rate. The Client understands and agrees that all sales are final. As each element of each project is “custom made” to fit the Client’s specifications, any changes made after the initial order will incur additional costs. Client is aware that Company can not be held responsible for any measurement done by client, and any changes made after the fabrication or installation will be subject to a fee. The Client agrees that any changes in the order, before fabrication, may result in a 30% re-stocking fee. The Client also agrees that any changes, made after fabrication has begun, will be subject to the full, original cost plus the cost of alterations. All fabric orders are placed immediately after the initial consultation. Whilst the Company endeavors to complete all jobs in a timely manner, it has no control over manufacturers’ or vendors’ delivery dates. Thus the Company cannot be held liable for any exact completion date. Clients should be aware that the Company cannot be held responsible for any color or texture variations between initial sample swatches and the delivered fabric orders. These occasional differences are due to the manufacturing processes. Every fabric has its own characteristics, which affect how it performs. The Company uses its best judgment at all times in advising clients on their choice of fabrics. However, the Company makes no assurance about the final appearance of any drapes or furnishing and accepts no responsibility for any defects, flaws, puckering or draping of fabrics due to fabrication Company carries a Liability Insurance Coverage for all employees and it’s clients. In many events, the designer will specify project instructions, which may be carried out by either a licensed or unlicensed Contractor. Any Contractor other than Company employee may only be covered under the client’s homeowners insurance. Clients should also be aware that Company would not be held responsible for any damages unforeseen by the Designer, Client or Contractors. These include, but not limited to any interior structural damages, i.e. electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, which are not within the bounds of visual perspective. If the Client chooses to terminate the project for any reason, or halt it for more than sixty (60) days, the Client will be liable for the remaining amount of the contract. This will include the Design Fee, the hourly rate multiplied by the number of hours already spent on the project, the cost of materials ordered and the cost of any fabrication started or completed. The Company retains the right to hold any or all undelivered merchandise until full payment is received. All unpaid balances are subject to a finance charge of 2% per month. Any unpaid items remaining uncollected after 90 days may be sold by the Company to recover its losses. If delivery date of completed items is delayed at Client’s request, Client agrees to a storage charge of 10% per month. Hardware: Company is not responsible for clients hardware selection and sizes, color tones and variations between display and actual materials. These occasional differences are due to manufacturing process. Return Policy: all sales are final and no refunds are offered. All open packages are subject to 50% Restocking fee, fabric rolls are or unopened packages are subject to 30% restocking fee and may be only exchanged or returned for store credit within 7 working days form the date of purchase. Any check returned or dishonored by the Client’s bank is subject to a service fee charged by the Company's bank. In the event of any controversy, claim or dispute between the parties relating to the agreement or breech thereof, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover from the losing party reasonable expenses, including, but not limited to attorney's fees and court costs. This document contains the entire agreement made between the parties relating to services to be rendered by the Company to the Client. Therefore any oral representations or modifications concerning this document shall be null and void except in the case of a subsequent modification in writing, signed by both parties. The laws of the State of California shall govern this agreement. I hereby grant to Galaxy Design the following rights in the interest of furthering the Galaxy Design’s creation and distribution of informational and artistic materials: 1. The right to record my image, photograph, picture, my home interiors and exterior, likeness, and voice by any technology or means. 2. The right to copy, use, perform, display and distribute such recordings of me for any legitimate purpose, including but not limited to distribution by means of streaming or other technologies via the Internet, or distribution of audio or video files (e.g. podcasts) for download by the public. 3. The right to combine such recordings of me with other images, recordings, or printed matter in the production of motion pictures, television tape, sound recordings, still photography, CD-ROM or any other media. 4. The right to record, reproduce, amplify and simulate my image and all sound effects produced. 5. The right to assign, transfer, or license the above rights to third parties. 6. The right to use my image and voice in connection with the marketing of Galaxy Design’s programs, events, or educational or artistic materials. I understand and agree that I will not receive compensation, now or in the future, in connection with Galaxy Design’s exercise of the rights granted hereunder. I hereby assign to Galaxy Design any and all copyright I may have in the recordings made of me hereunder. I hereby release and forever discharge Galaxy Design, the Board of Trust of Galaxy Design, its members individually, and the officers, agents and employees of Galaxy Design from any and all claims, demands, rights and causes of action of whatever kind that I may have, caused by or arising from Galaxy Design’s exercise of the rights granted hereunder and the use of recordings containing my image or voice, including all claims for libel and invasion of privacy or infringement of rights of copyright and publicity.
DESIGN CONSULTATION FEE: This fee is paid in advance to cover the designer, graphic designer, shipping and sampling time. Customer aware that this fee is applicable to all purchase of drapery orders only not to hardware. If for any reason customer decides not to move forward with the rest of the project and only purchase hardware, only up to 50% of the design consultation maybe applied to the hardware orders.
